Will a Counsellor give me advice or tell me what to do?

A counsellor won't tell you what to do or give advice. They will actively listen and ask you targeted questions, helping you to explore your thoughts and feelings and make your own decisions.

Is everything I say confidential?

Everything you say in the counselling session is confidential with the exception of if the counsellor thinks that yourself or someone else could be at risk of serious harm then they have a duty of care to disclose this to other professionals to keep everyone safe.

How long will I need Counselling for?

This varies for each individual person depending on their needs. You will be the best person to decide when you no longer need counselling.

Can I vary my session times and switch between in-person and online?

Yes, this is fully flexible to suit your needs. This is particularly helpful for those who work shifts or irregular hours.

Do I need to have counselling weekly?

No, you can have fortnightly or monthly counselling to suit your schedule, needs and budget.
